I was wonder today about G0-T0 and how he came to decide to be on the path he ended up on being his 2 orders were Produce options to rebuild the Republic, Follow all the laws of the Republic. I guessed "Produce options to rebuild the Republic." was his 1st order and took precedence over the 2nd in G0-T0's mind. So I thought to my self if you follow the 3 laws of robotics does that mean G0-T0 effectively developed the zeroth law (or a version of it) to obey. The zeroth law being A robot may not injure humanity, or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm. obviously just replace "humanity" with "The republic". _________________ A bus station is where a bus stops. Not only does he shoot people, he tortures them most likely for amusement, shown in his statements when you try to have a 'normal' conversation with him.
In ways he's worse then HK in his view on "meatbags", so no, somehow I don't think he follows the laws of robotics. |

Both of them have good voice actors but as character wise, Hk-47's sadistic nature is better put together than GOTO's sadistic nature.
At least Hk-47 is funny.
Regardless How I do feel towards GOTO, I do think his business sense(not his ethic or lack thereof) is very good and very pro Republic. |

I never use G0-T0 anyway because he's so rude. _________________ "No good deed goes unpunished." - Synette Jeline, TES III: Morrowind |

And he is just as useful as a paper weight. |

The whole idea behind the zeroth law is it allows robots to break the 1st law which is they can't harm humans or through inaction allow a human to come to harm. If a droid is not to let the republic be harmed or through in action let it come to harm then the droid can rationalise that letting a certain person live would be harmful to the republic. _________________ A bus station is where a bus stops.
